A Weeks Update

Oh God… Where did I leave off? It seems like forever since I’ve blogged. I mean, it’s summer. I’ve entered ‘summer-time’ which basically equates to: For no reason whatsoever, nothing seems as long and/or short as it really is (wow… I didn’t think of how sexual that sounded in my head). What I mean is, this past week… Seemed like a month. And yet Summer itself has only felt like a few days… And things like Summerfest and the Up North Trip seem like A BILLION YEARS ago…

Okay. Sorry. Moving on.

Last post I had detailed an incident involving the BDPD. Since then I've had a few more adventures, which I'll try to remember them all...

First off, the very next day after my last blog (Monday) I had actually made plans to hang out with Holly. Now, Holly and I go way back to 6th grade, and we were best friends for a few years (we had a very odd past...) but nowadays we hardly talk. Basically she just found a new crowd she tends to hang out with, and both of us are just busy... So I thought it would be cool to just go out to lunch and catch up. We ended up going to Wendy's (which made me laugh because I was just there the night before). So we talked for a bit before we ended up leaving back to her house. We ended up playing Left 4 Dead. Okay, let's take a side track for me to throw a review in here:

What can I say about Left 4 Dead. First off, I was playing it on 360. Personally, anything with Valves name on it should rightfully be played on a PC. I'm not even a PC gamer, and I know that. It's like cardinal law. But anyways, I played for a bit and I gotta say... I'm not too big a fan. I mean, there was no story or plot, they just showed you a 6 minute intro video and figured that was good enough. Call me old fashioned, but I still prefer a good single player game with a plot that makes you think. But this, this was worse than a generic zombie apocalypse story, because it was an assumed generic zombie apocalypse story! Aside from there, the gameplay was fun much like a Grand Theft Auto game. It's fun to just mow down dozens of the dead over and over again. Although, from what I saw, there were pretty large maps for some good exploration, but if you're faced with 10,000 zombies, it's hard to say, "I'm gonna go esplorin'!". Oh, one more grip I had with it is, why were all of the characters the same? I thought the whole point of having such drastically different characters was so that each could posses special skills and abilities... So, overall I think it was an alright game that had a good enough AI system to keep things relatively fresh every time you play through it, but the game fails as any sort of single player venture. I can see it being fun online and with 4 player co-op, but then how high can we really hold this as a 'game'... It's a completely different scale we have to weigh it on.

So, then after playing, Holly had some meeting thing she had to go to, so she took me home. Which was cool because I got to hang with her for a few hours but it didn't take up my whole day (the days I have off work, I really want to utilize as much as possible). So I was at the house for a few hours before chatting with Maddie and Karleisa on FB. I was then invited out with them. So they came like an hour later and we ended up just store hopping before fianlly sitting down to eat. I also found it funny that before we even left and I asked Karleisa what we would do, she brought up maybe going to Wendy's... Now that would have been funny. But, alas, we ended up going to Arby's, which was a good choice. We ate, then drove around for a bit before sitting in my back parking lot (I swear that thing gets more action than me...). Then we figured "HEY! LET'S GO BOWLING!!!", however, after getting the alley's number, and myself some socks, we could not go bowling. Why? Because it was a Monday night, and they closed before infant's bed times... So we ended up just at Maddie's hoouse for a bit before she kicked us out for some free pizza (note, she doesn't even like pizza).

Then the rest of the week was pretty boring. You know the routine, work, eat, sit doing nothing, eat, go one the computer, sleep, work... It was like that until Friday when, after getting off of work, Jake stopped by my house. He does this every now and again because his bus picks up about 10ft from my house, so we'll talk before it comes. However, when he got here, the first thing he said was "Steve told me to call him when I got here". So Jake called and Steve ended up coming like 10 minutes later. We all got to chat and catch up with one another had been doing for the past few weeks. So we all talked until Andrew got off work and came home. So we all talked for a bit before we left to hit up Denny's... Denny's was closed. Closed... So we just went next door to IHOP. Yes. We went to IHOP at like midnight. Now since it was after midnight, that meant that it was now Andrew's birthday. Happy birthday nig-nog!!! So I figured since it was his birthday, I'd pay for his meal, and while I was at it, Jake's birthday s only a few days, and Steve only had $5 and and and and... So I figured screw it, the meals on me. So we all ordered (Me = Philly Cheese Steack sandwhich with onion rings, Steve = Turkey sandwhich with fries, Jake = Chocolate chip pancakes, Andrew = Butterscotch pancakes). So we all ate and talked and were finally kicked out at 2am for closing. That was a fun night that only cost me like $40...

So we all dispersed and got some sleep, and when all of us woke up, it was still Andrew's birthday. I had actually got him the first season of Stargate (SG1, not that Atlantis bullshit!!!). My mom had work however, so Andrew and I sat around watching Seinfeld, before I had to leave for work. Work was annoying. After work, I left and caught up with Jake, Coop, Raphi, and Vlad (RANDOM >.<). So we were all talking for a bit before Andrew came back home, and we all left for Smerz's grandparents for a movie night. We really didn't get too far before I got a hold of Steve and he told me to just stay there and he'd come get us. So we all went to Smerz's to watch Senior Skip Day. I had very low expectations for this movie... It was a random movie that no one had ever heard of probably from the late 90's to early 2000's. But it was fucking hilarious!!! Oh man, it was random, stupid and entirely politically incorrect! It was great. And then after the movie, we all made fun of Catherine's boot! It was fun. And at 1am Smerz kicked us all out. We went to, yet again, my back parking lot. I don't really know what happened because I fell asleep in the van.

The next day was all work for me, so nothing really worth mentioning happened. I did however switch my Monday shifts with someone so I didn't have to work yesterday. I ended up hanging out with Holly again, but this time Pat and Eric were there too. Yeah. We all hung out for a few hours, not doing much. After that I came home and listened to Relapse, Eminem's newest. Allow me again to page break here:

It's Eminem. Go itno this expecting that. So we all know it's gonna be hard, fast, and violent as Hell. even after a 5 year break, he's still got it. As a whole, I don't think it soars higher than anything he's done before (at best it safely tails behind), but there are a few songs that just shine brighter than others. Overall, pretty good. Sorry, that was a short review... but It's Eminem. You like him or you don't...

Now on to today. Today is Jake's birthday. He's throwing a big barbeque party thing... Let's see if it doesn't fail... Either way I can only stay for a few hours before I need to leave for work.

Monday And Today. Can The Fun Times Continue?

Hmmm. Right. So, yesterday morning, my mom woke my up bright an early (around 9... and for a student on Spring Break, that's hella early...). I ate a quick breakfast, then left for a fun filled day.

(here is where I saved this post as a draft, and where I'll be picking up only about four days later...)

My day was basically planned by my mom as a day that both she and I did not have work, and I didn't have school (W00T Spring Break!!!). This spirited day started off with a lively visit to the bank. Not just any bank mind you. My school CD (Certificate of Deposit, not compact disc... dumbass) was due and my mom looked around for a better interest rate (they suck right now... Although, that should be pretty evident, the whole economy is in the shiter). So we tracked down the best rate for the most reasonable amount of time. We landed on a 2.65 for eleven months. Cool. So we moved all of my school monies over there. Hopefully (and this is my plan), I can get through school with only the money I make from work (without creating any debt for myself), and have all of the money my mom set aside for me for after I graduate (Hello my own house!). But anyways, after we got that done (btw, that little neighborhood we were at somewhere in Wawautosa where the bank was was awesome! It gave the illusion of small town life... but wasn't! It was a nice little mixture there... plus, it was only like 2-3 blocks away from Milwaukee (thus the "bad" part of town), so I'm pretty sure the cost of living over there wouldn't be like insane rich white people land...) we went to George Web's for burgers. We left and headed on over to Mayfair Mall. That was interesting because I haven't been there in some time. I got to check out (and get free samples from) a new store that solely sells tea, and tea making equipment (teapots, cups, serving trays ect.). There I found a new fondness of looseleaf tea. It's so much cooler than those little damn bags... So anyways, after that we left and headed over to the southside of town. Why? because my mom thought we were close enough to the budget theater, and she had been over there a few days prior for a meeting, but didn't want to wait that long for the next showing. So we headed on over there. We first checked out what movies they all had. My mom wanted to go see Marley and Me, whereas I was going to see The Tale of Despereaux (I also contemplated going to see the Twilight movie just to laugh and/or mock it. However, I still saw this as a waste of money and time to go to, even at a 2$ ticket price...). We had like an hour to waste before our movies, so we crossed the street to the local Walmart. Oh my God I hate the south side of Milwaukee... It's the white peoples ghetto. Everyone there was all rednecky with three children when you could tell it would take all of their brain capacity to raise one healthy minded child... Wow. That whole store was a mess and it was just crawling with crazy white folk. I honesty contemplated walking out of there with as much stuff as possible (and I'm not even that big at stealing stuff... I just do it because I'm a teenager and it runs through my veins... shut up), but there wasn't anything there I even remotely wantede to take! I did however end up buying 2 movies: Old School (uncensored), and Dodgeball. When the woman rang up Old School, it made a really loud beep, and she asked me if I was over 18. I said yes and she proceeded to click a few buttons on the register. Then she scanned it again, it made the same beep, so she asked again (half jokingly this time), you sure you're 18, to which I said...yes. My mom even chimmed in this time, yes, he's 18. I even offered to bring out my ID. She said no, don't worry about it, I believe her (reffering to my mom). And then she said, it's just that you look 15 or something...15! 15?!?! Bitch I'm not a freshman in highschool!!! I'm gonna be 19 in less than 3 months. Fuck you bitch, I'll kill you! My mom tried crackign a joke about how in due time I'll appreciate it when people guess my age as much younger than it really is... but 15?!?!?! God damn... So we left, and headed on over to our movies. Despereaux was pretty entertaining (Kiwi, Emma Watson did voice work in it). The animations, although pretty good, definately gave off more of a fairytale feel (which I assume they were going for) than any sort of photorealism.

The movie itself seemed to take a lot of hints from Ratatouille (although, I can only imagine the amount of pressure other studios feel in the presence of Pixar). Nevertheless, it was a funa nd enjoyable film for children. Adult like themes could be pulled out of it (thoughts of discrimination and hate, corupt government powers, and pain and loss over loved ones death), however, paying too much attention to things like that will likely cause less enjoyment for you the veiwer. So anyways, the movie got out, and we started our trek home. Overall, it was pretty fun, I mean, I got a lot of stuff out of it (and believe me, it sounds lame as Hell, but when you start to become monetarily independent, free stuff from your parents is more than well recieved). My only complaint would be that it took too long... somehow all that stuff lasted like 6 or 7 hours... how? I may never know. Errands and such with my mom just takes a long time. We made a few grocery stops as we came back into town too. So, when I got back home, I ate, and hoped a bus to Kiwi's for Heroes night. The bus driver was a tard. First he was like 15 minutes late (that or the bus before him was just a dick and sped off early), when he got to the stop he was texting on his phone, didn't even look at my bus pass, then he got off the bus and started talking on his phone some more! C'mon I'm missing Heroes!!! I finally got to Kiwi's close to 20 minutes late, just to find out that Heroes was a rerun. I guess that's a good thing because then I didn't miss anything. So we all hung out for a bit, then disperced at the end of the night (It was actually pretty early cuz Kiwi had to go into to work ealry the next day (St. Pattricks day)).

I too had to work on St. Patty's day, but not until late... that and my job wouldn't change all that much... I can't really remember what I did during the day... for the most part I think I just bummed around. Anyways, I had work that night, and up until that point I was having a really nice day. And surprisingly enough... I was still having a nice day even at work. It was busy enough to keep me doing something so my shift didn't seem too long, and it wasn't busy enough for me to have to run around all over the place! However, it was really hot in the building... So I was pretty good the entire day. Another successful day... Wow. I love not being in school!!! However... things came crashing down as there was a threat made about the integrity of mine, as well as all of my coworkers jobs... which not only fueled a lot of negative feelings, but also paranoia and gossip. It doesn't feel good worrying about your job like that... So that put alittle knot in my stomache for the rest of the night... But that was that day. We've all got to move on, so I went home that night and tried not to worry about it. That's about all I can really remember about Tuesday night. Yeah, I'll make some more posts to make up for other memorable points within the past few days... Bye

*Insert Random Throat Gurgling*

I know, I know. I haven't blogged since Tuesday. If it makes you feel any better, I haven't done any homework since then either.... So its not like I'm leaving my blog for a limber whore...

Anywho, I've actually been meaning to blog because, in a way, I did have some shit to say. So school has been a pain, I mean, I've got a lot of art... Plus, with that new laptop, I waste A LOT of time! For God's sake, I found all the episodes of Rugrats!!! Who wouldn't be excited to download all that stuff?!?!?!

Some other quick details of the past few days: Ummm... I drank a Rockstar Pomegranate yesterday. It was good, but it sorta tasted like cranberry juice. You know, that tart flavor that almost stops in the middle of it? I also found out yesterday that I've got two tests coming up, so I'll have to study for both. I really do want to keep pretty solid grades this semester... Not to say that last semesters grades were all that bad (my lowest was a B-), but still... I gotta keep my shit up for Archy.

Wednesday was pretty laid back... Mondays and Wednesdays are always pretty slow for me. My first class starts at 9, goes till 10. My next class doesn't start till 3:30, so, I've got a nice 5 hour break. So I usually go home inbetween and get a few hours to lay back a bit.

So, I guess that's it, let's move on to today. I woke up a few times during the night, but it was okay. Every time I woke up, I felt rested... So I knew that by the time I finally was supposed to get up, I'd be more than okay. I was a little worried because I did stay up a bit later than normal because I was, big surprise, downloading an episode of Rugrats, and watching Afro Samurai. Wow... Afro Samurai is not subtle at all... In the first two episodes (the only ones I watched), about 12 gallons of blood were spilled (that's a conservative estimate too), They dropped the F-bomb about 12 times (most of wich by Sammy J (who is awesome in it!)), and Afro had mad crazy kinky sex. It is pretty entertaining, and I'm no longer one for much anime... mainly because of all the stupid shit out there, and all of these preteen kids running around talking about Naruto... Oh, and to all you anime fans, the Dragon Ball movie looks hilarious! It looks about as good as the show too, which if you've seen the show... not really setting the bar too high... So anyways, I finally woke up, get ready, then caught the bus and came down here. My first class was archy theory, which I dipped in and out of sleep during (damn that fucked up my neck!). My next class doesn't start till 12:30, and I'm gonna try to hit up some free food with Beau at the Archy building. Then at 12:30, I've got my archy drawing class, which I wouldn't mind as much if it wasn't 3 fucking hours long...

Yeah, I'm tired of writting now. Byez!

And So Another Week Begins

Ah... sigh... It's Monday. I stayed up a little longer than I wanted to last night (not drastically though). I usually try to get to bed around 11 (while I'm in school), and last night, it was probably closer to 12. And to be honest, if anybody's got a problem with me think 11 is a perfectly legitimate bedtime, you can blow me! I like to sleep, why would you have a fucking problem with that? Who the fuck cares that I'm a college student, the way I see it, most college students stay up as late as they do for 2 reasons: 1.) Procrastination. We push shit off too far, and end up fucked at the last minute with a boat load of work to do (Yes I've been there. Intro to Archy last semester... yeah). and 2.) People stay up late because they want to wake up the next morning extremely tired. Now they can bitch about to garner sympathy from those surrounding them. True, we all like to have people on our sides of things, and to make people realize that our lives are no walk in the park... but whose is? Why should you get all the attention? Greedy little bastards... But anyways. This morning I woke a little while before my alarm went off, and I was really awake... like wide awake... it was crazy. So, I just sat there and figured I would wait for the alarm... And then I fell back asleep... I woke up a little later, turned off the alarm, and still just sat around. I finally got up at 6:50, which I was supposed to get up at 6:30... Then I went downstairs, ate and went back upstairs to pack my shit. I got my backpack, tried finding stuff to take with me today and finally made my way back downstairs... Long story short, I went up and down those stairs about 4 more times... I finally got out my door (I couldn't find my hat! Saaaaaaad face). I hauled ass of to the bus stop and just caught it. I got to school (fuck my life) and remembered I had to take a quiz online (I got a 6/10... good enough). I chatted with Beau for a bit, wasted some time on the internet, then went to class. My first class of the day is Architecture theory. I like the class [sort of], but it can get quite dull. So, in order to combat this, I brought myself an energy drink. Todays was a venom (sale + coupon... W00T!). It was good. I mean, it sorta tasted like a Monster (which if you don't know, is Satan's piss... I think) but much more berry...er... I liked it, and it did keep me awake through out class. Now, this got me thinking. I'm no fan of monster. I mean, I can stomach the stuff if necesary, but I'm no fan by any means. But this stuff sorta tasted like it... and it kept me awake... what? Does this mean that Monster effectively does what it's supposed to? Hmmmmmm. So this got me thinking, for the integrity of my ongoing highly scientific list of energy drinks, how they taste, and how well they 'work'. So, wish me luck, because I will be purchasing and review Monster energy drinks in the coming weeks (if they're on sale... Hey! Fuck you guys! I save money!). Once I got out of class, I ate my lunch, drew for a little while, and handed in my architecture work. I'm a bit dissapointed at the quality of my work, but I'm hoping they take it [a little] easy on me because it is the first assigment of the semester. Yeah. Now, I'm writing my blog, which I'm fairly enjoying. I'm also (yet again) watching sXePhil's videos. Now, I know it sounds like I watch him alot, but in reality, he just has a shit ton of videos and I don't have a shit ton of time. My next class, which doesn't start until 3:30 (it's 12:30...), is English and I'm not all that excited about it. Why? well one because it's English, but two because I forgot to bring a pencil with me... Yeah, how am I supposed to write in an English class, with no pencil (see title)... And on top of that, I've got work tonight. I haven't had work work on a Monday since the Summer. Blarg. I only have about 4 hours of work tonight, which isn't bad at all, It's just the fact that I work for four days in a row. I don't like working a bunch of days in a row because it kills my scheadule. It's like I take a bus here, take a bus home, go to work, go home to sleep, wake up at 6, then do it all again. Sigh. I'll also be missing Heroes tonight, which I guess in a way I'm used to, and will just catch it online some time during the week (or if my internet buddy at home sticks around, I coule do it there ^.^). I guess that's about everything. I'm trying to think of shit to just cram in here because I'm bored... With nothing coming to mind I will bid thee farewell...
